George Farmer, Forester & Realtor, has over 30 years direct forest management experience on well over a half million acres of timberland. This includes over 10 years with International Paper Co., 4 years with Duke Powers' Crescent Rresources as well as 16 years as the owner of Natural Properties Real Estate & Forestry LLC.

A sale of timber for a landowner can be a once in a lifetime event so getting the best price is a top priority! We represent YOU in all timber sales! We work on a commission basis to ensure we are getting you the best price for your timber. We provide an in depth timber cruise report of your timber derived from random samples of the timber. We advise if the timber should be sold on a cut and pay by the unit basis or a lump sum sealed bid method.

One most bid sales, we provide buyers for your timber with a timber bid prospectus that details the timber being sold, the required contract stipulations, maps and timber volumes. We then hold a lump sum sealed bid opening where the target dollar amount is only known by our office and the landowner.

We can provide a professional managment plan for your timberland that may be helpful for long range planning and tax planning. We also arrange for any needed silvicultural and forest managment activities such as reforestation, herbicide treatments, thinnings, hunting leases as well as apply the landowner for available cost share programs.
